New York, NY (09/15/11) - The Academic Improvement Mentorship [A.I.M.] Program of Chi Upsilon Sigma National Latin Sorority Inc. will re-launch to serve our undergraduate sisters. An official committee was formed through the Grand Chapter Board approval under the direction of Narcely Ruiz, the Director of Undergraduate Relations, for the following positions:

· A.I.M. Assistant Program Manager- Erica Daniel [Rho/Alpha]
· A.I.M. Recruitment Manger- Angelica Saldana-Heiderich [Phi/Epsilon]

The AIM Program functions as a one-on-one mentoring program, where an alumna sister is partnered with an undergraduate sister to aid in maintaining GPA requirements set by the sorority to achieve academic success. The AIM Committee is responsible for addressing the need to uphold the academic standing of our undergraduate sisters and chapters. The program is open to undergraduate sisters that would like additional assistance academically or alumnae that are interested in becoming a mentor.
The AIM program was started in Fall 2007 and created by Bianca Jackson and Sharon Salvador. The pilot phase had one mentor and one mentee. The program was in existence for one year until this semester when the official committee was formed and the program was re-launched.
The AIM Committee is currently looking for a sister to fill the Training/Support Manager as well. If you would like to support the program, please contact Camille Rivera at
